I have rode the Grassy Plains
              and climed the Shinin' Mountains;
Snowed in on the Snake,
              and washed in the Brazos.
From funnel clouds on the Llano,
              to blizzards in the Rockies;
In my Buckskins, I an FREE!

I have wintered with the Sioux,
              hunted Buff with the Comanche;
Traded with the Crow,
              and smoked with the Shoshone;
Blew my smoke in four directions,
              watched the stars thru my Tipi.
