The Shinin' Mountains

Iv'e seen You in the distance, from many miles away;
Iv'e traveled long to get here, thru sunshine, an clouds of gray.
I visioned You in childhood,of how You'd look at last;
I know Iv'e never been here, but Your somewhere in my past.
Your beauty holds me spellbound, nothin finer have I seen;
Some will never have this vision, if they do it's in a dream.
I thank the force that brought me here, in it's debt I'll ever be;
For there's nothin like The Shinin' Mountains,
for a man like me too see!
The call of your quiet valleys, your peaks all capped with snow;
The richness of your rivers, to the Oceans they do flow.
The abundance of your wildlife, roaming wild and living free;
A dream that finally has come true, for a simple man like me.
Now Iv'e finally reached You, and the journey has been long;
I raise my arms up to you, and sing a joyfull song.
There is no place else on Earth, that I would rather be;
Cause theres nothin like the Shinin' Mountains,
for a man like me to see!
