Free Trapper
Come join me you say, come work by my side;
We'll go to the Mountains, an trap Beaver for hide.

I don't need any Plunder, or Gee Gaws for trade;
You'll provide all my Fixin's, an I'll have it made.

But when the green valley, is finally trapped clean;
It's You I'll have to follow, not my one lifelong dream.

So back off you Ol' Coon, can't you see what I say;
A Free Trapper I am, till my dyin day!

A Free Trapper I am, not one Booshway I owe;
It's my own way I wander, my own harvest I sow.

The Blackfeet they know me, the Wind whispers my name;
They'll try an make me come, but I'm good at their game.

I don't need lookin after, saftey in numbers is fine;
Sooner or later I'll go under, an when I do It'll SHINE.

So I don't need all your Fixin's, all alone I might be;
But to NO ONE I answer, in these Mountains I'M FREE!
